Celebrating the beauty of Australia’s unique timber species is one of Pentarch Forestry’s key principles which has helped it become one of the country’s largest manufacturers of Australian hardwood and softwood products.
Through ensuring our hardwood timber is sourced locally from world-certified harvesting operations which are conducted under the strictest controls of any country, we provide a range of Australian-made and inspired hardwood products including decking, flooring, cladding, lining and structural timber, suitable for interior and exterior building and design projects.
In addition, we provide a range of softwood pallet and packaging products as well as structural framing, all from locally grown certified, renewable and sustainable Radiata Pine, that can be H2 Termite treated with a 25-year guarantee.
Our log export operations, which are our contribution to the global responsibility of providing only sustainably sourced wood and fibre, have led to involvement in break bulk ship chartering, forest harvesting, inland transportation, and the merchandising of logs through an innovative logistics model.
International trade is at Pentarch Group’s core and a one-off shipment of softwood pine logs to South Korea in 1992 was the catalyst for Pentarch Forestry™, which would become the group’s newest business.
Recognising lack of expertise in this sector led to Pentarch Forestry™ progressively developing specialist skills and services in the fields of log marshalling, shipping, stevedoring and international trade to become one of Australia’s premier log export operations.
Then in 2021, the operation expanded further with the acquisition of the Dormit sawmill and pallet processing business and the purchase of Boral Limited’s Australian hardwood and softwood timber businesses (Allen Taylor & Company Pty Ltd and Duncan’s Holdings Pty Ltd). The acquisitions bring the businesses together with the group’s operational arm, Allied Natural Wood Enterprises Pty Limited under the brand Pentarch Forestry™.

Pentarch Group symbolises innovation in identifying new market opportunities through research and development while holding sustainability as its core principle.
The growth and development of Pentarch Forestry™ is an example of this principle as it continues to find new ways to maximise the potential of one of our most precious natural resources.
This progressive approach has led to the acquisition of Boral’s timber interests and new business in pallet manufacturing to strengthen what is a pillar of Pentarch Group’s future success.
